This year's Rex Porter Rally was held on on Saturday the 4th of October. The late Rex Porter, (1905 - 1984) foundation member and past President of the Wairarapa Vintage Car Club branch, joined the Vintage Car Club of NZ (Inc.) in 1955.
Participants departed from Masterton Railway Station at 9.30 a.m.
The Rally is an all-day event which includes most aspects of rallying and features competitive routes in the morning and afternoon.
The event concluded with dinner and prizegiving at the VCC club rooms in Clareville.

The Spring Rally on Sunday September 14th certainly lived up to its name – plenty of sun and a bit of drizzle, new born lambs and daffodils as the 16 participating vehicles drove (often potholed) country roads to the Tinui Café and Bar for lunch, and then back for coffee at the Farriers in Masterton. Many thanks to organiser Francis Pointon. Scroll down to the Events section to see some more pictures from the event.

The Wairarapa Vintage Car Club Daffodil Day Motor Show at Masterton Motorplex was held on Sunday, August 24. The weather was perfect and a big crowd turned out to see more than 200 entries. Many people paid to sign up in one of the 14 categories on the day, and all of the proceeds went to the Wairarapa Cancer Society.
Special thanks to Fagan Motors, who supplied mains power all day to run our equipment via their new PHEV Ranger, and Wiz Wireless, who provided a temporary internet connection for the day.

The Wairarapa's excellent Pukaha Mt Bruce Native Bird Sanctuary is enduring tough financial times at the moment so we thought we'd help them out a bit by going for a "Winter Wander" from Masterton via the back roads to Pahiatua then back down SH2 to Pukaha for lunch. Participants paid $15 each to participate, and the Club matched this contribution and donated all of the proceeds to Pukaha.
